Lithuanian Servicemen Break the Record 2010.07.30
![]() July 16-25, Lithuanian servicemen took part in the 35th CISM World Military Parachuting Championship in Bouchse, Switzerland. The Lithuanians took fourth place in the free fall event and broke Lithuania's record: they performed 30 formations in 35 seconds. Only Belgians, Germans and the Swiss were better than Lithuanians. |

International naval exercise „Baltic Bikini 10 2010.07.29

During the exercise aircrews will train to abandon an aircraft after ditching, and drill their skills of using rescue equipment.
During the active phase aircrews will rely on their own strength and rescue equipment at hand to dive out of the cockpit of an imitation aircraft submerged 2 metres under water. The cockpit will be lowered from a ship following the pattern of ditching. After that participants will use rescue equipment to stay on water surface for around an hour waiting for the rescue helicopter. |

NATO holds the 6th Baltic Regional Training Event in the Baltic States 2010.07.23

NATO has been holding BRTE in the Baltic States since 2008. Five training events held so far were tailored to drill capabilities of the Baltic States taking part in the Baltic Air-policing mission. BRTEs are organised to enhance interoperability of the Baltic military capabilities, to highlight NATO's commitments to the Baltic Region, and to demonstrate visibility of the Alliance in the region. |

Junior Staff Officers Course is Completed 2010.07.23
![]() Junior Staff Officer Course, which started in the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania on 19 April 2010, finished on 22 July 2010. 37 Lithuanian and 10 foreign officers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Moldova and Ukraine completed the course. |
