International Security Assistance Force visited service members of the Lithuanian-led Provincial Reconstruction Team in Chaghcharan 2005.08.23
On Monday 22 August Commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Lieutenant General Force Lieutenant General Mauro Del Vecchio visited the Lithuania-led Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in the Afghan province of Ghor.
During the visit, the Lieutenant General was briefed on the PRT's activity and plans and talked with troops serving in the mission. General Vecchio thanked the troops for their resolution and sacrifice and prised for the work done. |

Service members of BALTSQN-11 completed mission in Kosovo 2005.08.23
 On Thursday, 24 August the last group of service members of the BALTSQN-11 (Baltic Squadron) is due to return home after completing their mission in Serbia and Montenegro province of Kosovo. BALTSQN-11 was the first unit of the Lithuanian National Defence Volunteer Force deployed to an international mission. While on the mission, Lithuanian service members performed within the composition of the Danish Battalion; the troops were deployed to the Danish military base in the city of Mitrovica. |

NATO Allied Air Component Command Headquarters to visit Lithuania 2005.08.23
Between 23-24 August Lieutenant General Horts Martin, Deputy Commander NATO Allied Air Component Command Headquarters in Ramstein, will be visiting Lithuania. The primary aim of the visit is to familiarise with the Lithuanian Air Force and the force integration into NATO military structures. During the visit, Lieutenant General Martin is scheduled to meet with Undersecretary of the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, Mr Renatas Norkus, Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Major General Valdas Tutkus, Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force, Colonel Jonas Marcinkus. |
