![]() The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) under the Ministry of National Defence started a European Union Twinning project to boost Georgia’s competencies in cybersecurity cooperatively with the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs of Austria. On November 23 a corresponding agreement was signed by the NCSC and the Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs of Austria. |

Change of rotations of the U.S. Army presence in Lithuania 2020.11.21
![]() The 2nd Brigade, 69th Regiment, 2nd Battalion, U.S. Army, has finished exercises and training in Lithuania and are going back to their home base. A new heavy U.S. battalion – 2-8 Cavalry Squadron – will rotate in instead by mid-December to stay until around midsummer of next year. |

![]() On November 19 the new Military, Air Force and Naval Attaché of the Russian Federation, Colonel Oleg Davletzjanov was accredited to the Republic of Lithuania. At the ceremony Head of the International Relations and Operations Group Karolis Aleksa underscored that Lithuania and Russia had differing positions concerning security and defence issues which made it important to foster mutual trust and transparency. He also stressed that multilateral formats that both, Lithuania and Russia were part of, were important platforms for developing mutual trust and transparency. |

Lithuania will be able to deploy more troops to the NATO Mission Iraq 2020.11.17
![]() On November 17 Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania approved the proposal to increase the ceiling of Lithuania’s military contribution to the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI): Lithuania will be able to deploy up to 50 soldiers and civilian personnel of the National Defence System to the operation. The main objectives of the NATO Mission Iraq are to mentor and advise Iraqi security and defence authorities and corresponding training and education institutions. |
